Training Program Outline

About the program:

The Studio Marin Teacher Training Program is broken down into three main sections: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each section will begin with a 3-4 day workshop going over all of the specified level of exercises.

Following the workshop, the apprentice will practice teach, observe and be observed. Trainees will learn all the mat and equipment exercises within each level. Through this program, the trainee will:

  • Learn how to read the client and give them the exercises they need.

  • Learn how to progress the client with new variations/exercises.

  • Find the oppositional stretch(es) and stabilization within each exercise.

  • Be able to explain the purpose of each exercise.

  • Build a great toolbox of verbal cues.

  • Learn how to use their hands to allow the client to feel supported and to feel the "work" and stretch in each exercise.
